Assay Design & Development
SNLS develops customized lateral flow assays and rapid diagnostic platforms for antigen, antibody, protein and biomarker detection. Our development approach combines reagent selection, assay-format design, conjugation and strip optimization to create practical rapid-test solutions for healthcare, veterinary, food safety, agriculture and research applications.
Reagent Screening & Assay Design
Suitable antigens, antibodies and recognition reagents are evaluated for their role as capture and detection components. Depending on the target, SNLS can develop sandwich, antibody-detection, competitive or multi-line LFA formats and optimize the assay architecture for reliable signal generation.
Conjugation & Strip Optimization
Reporter conjugates, including gold nanoparticles and other suitable particles, are optimized together with conjugate pads, membranes, sample pads and assay buffers. These components are adjusted as one integrated system to improve flow, signal intensity, background control and result interpretation.
Prototype & Manufacturing Development
Once the assay chemistry is established, SNLS converts the optimized components into a complete lateral flow prototype and supports its progression toward scalable manufacturing. Strip dimensions, reagent loading, dispensing conditions and assembly parameters are defined according to the intended product format.
Prototype Integration & Evaluation
The sample pad, conjugate pad, nitrocellulose membrane and absorbent pad are integrated into the final strip and cassette configuration. Prototype devices can then be assessed for sensitivity, specificity, reproducibility, cross-reactivity, interference and matrix compatibility.
Manufacturing Transfer & Scale-Up
Optimized prototypes can be transferred into pilot and commercial manufacturing workflows with defined dispensing parameters, drying conditions, cutting specifications, assembly requirements and preliminary QC criteria, supporting a smooth transition from assay concept to manufacturing-ready rapid test.
