Aptamer Generation
(SELEX Platform) -
At SNLS, we specialize in the generation of high-affinity aptamers using our advanced SELEX platform and proprietary technologies. These single-stranded nucleic acids are meticulously selected for their strong and specific binding to a wide range of targets — including proteins, peptides, pathogens, and environmental toxins.
Our aptamers serve as powerful building blocks for the development of biosensors, therapeutic agents, and a broad range of diagnostic applications, offering precision, versatility, and real-world impact.
Microfluidic & Paper-Based
Diagnostics -
At SNLS, we are pioneering low-cost, point-of-care diagnostic solutions through the development of innovative paper-based microfluidic devices. Our modern facility is equipped for the design and fabrication of next-generation paper microfluidics tailored for rapid, accessible, and reliable diagnostics.
One of our key ongoing projects is the FEBRILE ILLNESS CARE TEST — a cutting-edge, paper-based aptamer-AuNP (gold nanoparticle) microfluidic platform designed to detect multiple fever-causing pathogens. This project is proudly supported by the IDEA2PoC Elevate 100 Grant from Startup Karnataka, reinforcing our mission to bring scalable, high-impact diagnostics to the forefront of global health.
Nano-Enabled Biotechnology & Nanoparticle Synthesis
SNLS is a pioneer in the synthesis of diverse nanoparticles, offering a wide range of sizes and surface modifications tailored for advanced biotechnological applications. Our expertise spans the production of gold, silver, copper, zinc, iron, and silica-coated magnetic nanoparticles, as well as customized latex beads — all engineered for high-sensitivity biosensing, purification systems, and molecular assay enhancement.
These nanoparticles are designed for both IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) and RUO (Research Use Only) applications, with scalable synthesis capabilities ranging from small lab batches to large-volume OEM and industrial production.
Robotic Biomolecule & Cell Separator –
SN ROBAC
SN ROBAC is our indigenously developed, proprietary automation platform designed for the efficient isolation of biomolecules such as proteins, RNA, DNA, and various cell types, including microbial and mammalian cells. Utilizing magnetic beads coated with highly specific ligands, SN ROBAC enables high-purity, selective separation with precision and speed.
This robust platform demonstrated its reliability during the COVID-19 pandemic, processing over 1 million clinical samples and serving as a frontline diagnostic tool across 30+ hospitals and clinics during critical times. Today, it continues to play a vital role in both human diagnostics and advanced research.
Proudly developed under the spirit of “Make in India,” SN ROBAC has been recognized and awarded by various national agencies, reinforcing our commitment to self-reliance, innovation, and excellence in biomedical automation.
Diagnostics for Emerging, Re-emerging & Neglected Pathogens
At SNLS, we are committed to addressing global health challenges by developing rapid, accurate, and accessible diagnostic solutions for emerging, re-emerging, and neglected pathogens. Our focus includes pathogens that often escape routine surveillance yet pose serious public health risks — such as viral hemorrhagic fevers, zoonotic infections, antimicrobial-resistant bacteria, and tropical diseases. Through advanced molecular diagnostics, aptamer-based detection platforms, and point-of-care technologies, we aim to strengthen early detection, outbreak response, and disease control efforts. By prioritizing these often-overlooked threats, SNLS contributes to a more resilient and equitable healthcare system for all.
